
Apprehension has gripped Niger State, North Central Nigeria, as there are fears that over 100 people have gone missing following a tragic boat mishap in the state.
According to Niger State Emergency Management Agency (NSEMA), the boat accident was said to have occurred at a border town between the state and Kebbi State called Corner Libata Ingaski.
Confirming the development to newsmen during a press conference in Minna, the state capital, on Wednesday, Alhaji Ahmed Inga, the Director-General of the Niger State Emergency Management Agency, said all hands are on deck to find the missing persons.

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has yet again proved its undeterred support in Nigeria’s fight against drug trafficking and consumption of illicit drugs.
In this light, the Customs command in Kebbi State handed over illicits drugs seized from suspected drug barons to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).
Among the items handed over to the NDLEA were 632kg of Indian hemp and 199 sachets of 1,000 pieces Diazapam (5mg) tablets.
